Ecodrain ED Series
Condensate is the liquid formed from water vapour in the air as a result of a drop in temperature and/or an increase in pressure. This liquid water mixes with atmospheric hydrocarbon contaminants as well as oil carried over from lubricated compressors to form an acidic oily sludge. A 1000 SCFM compressor operating at 100 PSIG, in 20°C (68°F), 65% RH environment can produce up to 58,000 gallons (219,000 L) of oil contaminated condensate per year.
Standard features and benefits
• No external power required.
• Remote overflow alarm connection.
PAO = polyalphaolefins, TMP = trimethylolpropane ester, PE = pentaerythrityl ester, PAG = polyoxyalkylene glycol.
The above values are not applicable for polyglycol lubricants or ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid). The sizing guidelines are based upon an ambient inlet temperature to the compressor of 70°F (20°C) and a relative humidity of 65%. For all other operating conditions use the correction factor tables below to properly size the separator.
Correction factor for ambient temperature at the compressor inlet
Correction factor for relative humidity of the ambient air at the compressor inlet
